For over 20 years, Dr. William C. Burns II has combined his love of sports and his passion for medicine at Craig Ranch Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Frisco, Texas. With an emphasis on shoulders and knees, Dr. Burns is a leader and an innovator in the field of minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery and reconstruction for athletes of all ages. In addition to those roles, Dr. Burns is the team physician for Plano East Senior High School, Kurt Thomas Gymnastics, and he was the Director of Orthopaedic Services for the Nationwide Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) Tour Championship held at Craig Ranch in November 2008.Dr. Burns is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, and is one of the first orthopaedic surgeons to be Board Certified in Sports Medicine. Dr. Burns has served as Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, Texas; Chief of Staff at Centennial Medical Center; and Chairman of the Board of the Surgery Centre at Craig Ranch and The Hospital at Craig Ranch. Dr. Burns was named one of America's top surgeons in Orthopaedic Surgery by the Consumers' Research Council of America in 2008 and 2009. He was recently appointed Medical Director for the Texas Health Surgery Center Craig Ranch.He was voted best doctor by his peers in Collin County April 2018 D Magazine.
