Opened in 1976, by Scott Leist and Jerry Strader, Conans Pizza quickly became a local favorite. We have a long history of baking some of the best pizza in Austin. With fresh produce daily and mostly local ingredients, our pies can be a healthy option for carnivores, vegetarians, and vegans alike. Most people know us for our Deep Dish Wheat Dough and our best-selling everything pizza, The Savage. Scott and Jerry divided the company in 2016, Strader giving Conans Pizza North to his kids Chris, Chad and Carly and Scott, keeping Conans Pizza South open. In 2020, Scott Leist retired from the pizza bizz, selling the company to a former employee Jeremy Shirk and his business partner, Bob Feeney. Since then, Jeremy and Bob have brought 2021 Upgrades to the business with newly renovated building, new branding, a new website and an App.
