HistoryInternational School of San Antonio opened its doors for language immersion summer camps and group classes in French and Mandarin Chinese in 2019. In 2020, our full-day language immersion preschool was launched, and we added the Kindergarten grade in 2022. We currently offer our preschool and kindergarten program in three target languages - French, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. English literacy class is offered daily for 30 min in preschool and kinder. A third language of choice is included in the curriculum and is offered once a week.SpecialtiesEnrolling now children 2-5 years old to our French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese immersion tracks! Our expertise in early childhood education and language acquisition is applied to immerse your child in a second or third language. This is achieved through hands-on activities, ongoing conversation, engaging books and music, within a predictable schedule and a daily routine. Your child will learn math, literacy, science, arts, and music while absorbing French, Spanish or Mandarin Chinese. As a result, your child will not only become elementary and middle school-ready, but will also develop bi-literacy, and begin communicating in a third language. ISSA preschool program is available 5 days a week under separate language tracks: French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. You can choose to enroll in Full-Day or Half-Day. Full-Day 8:00 am to 3:30 pm Half-Day 8:00 am to 11:45 am
