Child Protective Services is a division of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Child Protective Services investigates reports of abuse and neglect of children. It provides adoption and support services and foster and kinship care programs. The division also provides family preservation and reunification and alternative family placements. In addition, Child Protective Services provides transitional and planned living arrangements, including independent living and community assistance. It organizes several child abuse prevention programs and neglect-related public awareness campaigns. Child Protective Services is located in Dallas.
