History
We are a family owned multi-generational antique store. Suze Quiett, the owner, has been an antique dealer for over 40 years, and a certified appraiser with CAGA for over a decade. The family's passion for antiques and collectibles started with her father Gorden Madden, renowned dealer from the Pacific Northwest, and has carried all the way through her two sons, Guy and Russ. Each member of the family has their own area of expertise, as well as a wide general knowledge of antiques, collectibles, and history. The store is located in the historic home of Alpine's first mayor and Texas Senator Benjamin F. Berkeley. We have handled everything from listed artists like Fremont Ellis and Pepper Brown to hand forged spurs by Bischoff and Blanchard. We have handled all forms of collectibles through the years, not just high end, and we love it all. Come and share our love of the past and the region with a visit to the Cheshire Cat in Alpine, Texas.
