CASA of Travis County, established in 1985, is a nonprofit organization made up of community volunteers that serves abused and neglected children in Texas. The organization provides legal, placement, educational, and medical assistance for child victims. The organization receives funding from a variety of sources, including city, county, state and federal grants, United Way, private foundations, corporations, small businesses, community organizations, and various special events. Some of its funding partners include Austin Junior Forum, Austin Sonics, Dell Foundation, Holt, Rinehart, & Winston, Moody Foundation, Silverton Foundation, Travis County Counseling and Education Center, and Travis County Health and Human Services. It accepts cash and in-kind donations of items, such as paper, pens, file folders, furniture, and conference tables. CASA of Travis County is located in Austin, Texas.
