If you remember back in the 1970's we were once known as the Quik Stop Lounge located on 290. It's became Bernie's Bar and Grill in 2002 and reopened located behind the Walmart here in Giddings. Bernie's was opened by Amy Peters James and named after her father Bernard Peters also known as

What a great place, beer was cold and tasty butt the German food! Get the German pizza or the sausage and kraut.

Ok food. Catfish was salty. Fried food was all over cooked. Each plate ordered was deleted one at a time. good drinks, terrible service and far too smoky of a bar. No thanks.
