History
Antidote is a wellness and performance coaching practice founded by Jonathan Francis in an effort to address the need for analytically based exercise coaching and ELDOA in the Woodlands and greater Houston area. Antidote also provides rehabilitative exercise, strength and conditioning, golf performance, personal training, and holistic lifestyle coaching services. By placing emphasis on balance and specificity, you will be given the tools to correct the imbalances created by life, sport, and injury to promote both physical and mental strength and well-being.
Specialties
Antidote is focused on balancing you with respect to your goals. You will first build a solid base of muscle, strength, and stamina while losing fat and stabilizing your body and challenging you for the next step. Powerlifting, athletic performance, strength and conditioning, cardiorespiratory fitness, mobility training, bodybuilding, sports injury rehabilitation, back pain relief, senior fitness - all are simply progressions from a balanced base of conditioning. Once we define your goal, you will be given the tools that will help you to achieve it. The body is a complete system of interdependent, continuous smaller systems and the relationships of each can be used to elicit maximum performance. In order to maximize each system effectively, you must have a good base of awareness and balance must be respected. Research has consistently proven that sport specialization and sport-specific training eventually causes injury instead of preventing it. With that in mind, Antidote gives you what you need to perform better - balance. You will learn to manipulate each specific muscle in each specific range of motion to target areas for growth, endurance, or power, and then learn how to integrate them into global movements like the squat or the golf swing. You will learn about nutrition and how to choose foods for maximum performance, and you will learn ELDOA. Personal trainers in the Woodlands are everywhere, but for complete wellness and performance coaching, there is Antidote.
