Al-Noor Society of Greater Houston is a non-profit organization that was established in 1987 in Houston, Texas. It serves as an Islamic Center for the Ahle-Sunnah wal-Jama'at community, providing a space for commemorating Islamic historic events, maintaining the identity of Ahle-Sunnah wal-Jama'at in America, and passing on true Islamic beliefs and traditions to future generations.
With the largest Friday congregation in Texas and possibly other states, Al-Noor Society enjoys the largest participation of the Muslim community in its year-round programs. The society's physical location is centrally located in Houston and features separate prayer halls for men and women, a large dining room, classrooms, and a library. Additionally, Al-Noor Institute of Islamic Sciences was established in 2012 to produce local Islamic scholars, offering three-year full-time and five-year part-time Alim programs.
