HistoryDr. Alpar graduated from Tulane University in1977. He then worked for the ophthalmology departments at LSU Medical School and Oschner Clinics in New Orleans, La until 1981 until entering the University of Houston College of Optometry. He graduated magna cum laude in 1986 and joined his father in Amarillo. Together, they established St. Luke Eye Institute and have been in the same location since that time. He became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 1997. Dr. Candace Lipshy joined the practice in 1991.SpecialtiesDrs Alpar and Lipshy specialize in eye health examinations for adults and children, glasses, contact lens fittings, and treatment of eye diseases. Examinations are tailored to each patient's specific needs. Many of our patients remark that their eye exam in our office was the most thorough exam they have ever had!
