Founded in 1971, Pacesetters is one of the largest community-based day training and residential programs in Tennessee. It serves people with developmental disabilities. The organization provides day and residential and personal assistance services in over six counties in the state. Its Family Support Program is a support-focused project that receives grants from the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation. Pacesetters also provides an early intervention support program, KIDS PUTNAM, for children up to the age of 3. KIDS PUTNAM is an integrated day care program that offers home-based technical assistance services. It maintains one of its locations in McMinnville, Tenn.
