NY Pie was opened with the intention of bringing the experience of NY style pizza to Nashville. New York style pizza is characterized by a thin and crispy crust that is achieved through a method of hand-tossing dough & baking on a brick oven. The ability to make a hand tossed dough that is consistently thin is a dying art and is much harder than pizza chefs make it look. As such, NY Pie chefs train for months to become expert pizza makers! NY Pie’s “secret” in staying true to the artform & delivering a first-rate product is simple – only use the freshest and highest quality ingredients (including Grande cheese, fresh vegetables, and delicious meats) and home-make the dough and sauces daily. NY Pie’s dough is made in the store, 50 lbs. of flour at a time.
