History
Nashville Community Education began as a commitment by City Council of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County to provide its citizens with an opportunity for life-long learning. Formerly part of MNPS, the Community Education Commission is now solely a department of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and exists to serve Middle Tennessee's residents in their pursuit of lifelong learning.

Nashville Community Education provides personal and professional enrichment to the Nashville community. NCE offers a wide variety of affordable classes including foreign languages, arts, cooking, fitness, technology, career development and more! Classes are offered at our main location, the Cohn School in Sylvan Park, as well as satellite locations throughout the city and virtually. NCE offers classes in the Fall, Spring and Summer. Registration is available online. over the phone, or in person during business hours. Classes are held during the day time and evenings (6-8:30pm).
