Dudley Head Start Center offers classroom instruction, support and monitoring programs for children with diagnosed learning and physical disabilities. The center provides several types of preschool education solutions for children between the ages of 3 and 5. It is funded for serving more than 1,480 children. Dudley Head Start Center conducts dental, vision, speech and health screenings. In addition, the center organizes educational field trips and offers before- and after-care services. It provides a range of academic and enrichment programs for children suffering with autism and visual impairments. Dudley Head Start Center is a part of the Metropolitan Action Commission, which is governed by the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County in Tennessee.
