Laurelbrook Academy
Laurelbrook Academy is a coeducational self-supporting school cooperating with the educational department of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination and operating in accordance with the principles of Bible and in the writings of Ellen G. White. It operates a grade nine through 12 boarding high school level program, an elementary school for staff students and a 50-bed state-approved nursing home, as well as other industries, including a sawmill, a palette factory and a large truck garden. The academy has a dual high school curriculum for all students that comprise vocational training and academic work. Its students work with their academic subjects half of the day and learn work skills in the vocational training areas in the other half. It also has a three-track academic program with a college preparatory curriculum, a general high school curriculum and a vocational curriculum. Laurelbrook Academy is located in Dayton, Tenn.
