Hubbell Lenoir City, Inc., was founded in 1924 as a furniture factory. Among its products were aircraft, radio and television cabinets. During the 1940's, the company worked in reinforced plastics. In 1959, the company began producing fiberglass ladder rails, which remains its major product. Hubbell Lenoir City is one of the world's largest producers of fiber reinforced polymer composites and one of North America's largest polymer concrete precasters. The company has a worldwide customer base and distribution locations throughout the world. Its customers include Fortune 500 industrial and commercial firms, major A&E's, leading contractors and distributors and hundreds of other companies in various markets. The Lenoir City division consists of two manufacturing facilities, the 78,000 square-foot facility Lenoir City, Tenn., and the 75,000 square-foot facility in San Jose, Calif. The three main product lines are Quazite utility boxes, pads and vaults, Polycast, pre-sloped trench drains and Poly-Blok heavy-duty industrial floor block.
