Located in Brownsville, Tenn., Haywood High School is an educational institution that enrolls students in grades 9 through 12. It employs a staff of more than 75 teachers and paraprofessionals that include special education instructors and guidance counselors. The school s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as mathematics, language arts, science, social studies and foreign languages. Established in 1970, it provides various sports activities, including basketball, football, volleyball, cross country, golf, soccer, and track and field. Haywood High School also has French, biology, drama, band, and arts and crafts clubs. It additionally offers career-oriented courses in agricultural studies, family and consumer science, trade and industrial technology, and business and finance. The school is a part of Haywood County Schools, which operates the Anderson Early Childhood Center and Sunny Hill Elementary School.
