History
In the summer of 2000, the Lord began planting a seed in David Evan's 22-year-old heart.. Through David's experience as an Associate Pastor at a traditional church and internships with church planters, The Lord impressed on David that traditional ministry was not effectively reaching people of a postmodern mindset and as a result, the gap between people and church was ever widening. After continued studies and intensive prayer, David was certain the time for action had come. Epiphany held its first worship service on December 17th, 2000 in the conference room of a local hotel with 10 people in attendance. The church began without any small groups, zero financing and no preparation, but The Lord guided and provided for them. Since that time, Epiphany has seen hundreds come to The Lord and be baptized, outgrowing many facilities along the way. Epiphany now meets in its building on the Springfield courthouse square.
