Bethany Joy Yoga
HistoryI was a professional dancer living in NYC when I took my first Naam Yoga class with Dr. Joseph Michael Levry. I literally cried 80% of the class. It was deeply heart-opening, yet a very good workout, and my whole body was buzzing with LIFE after class. I was very grateful to have found a deep spiritual practice which kept my body strong and healthy, as well. Two years later I became certified as a Naam Yoga Therapist. Khalsa Way (Kundalini) Yoga is what carried me through my first pregnancy with incredible grace and strength. It is a Prenatal Yoga that empowers the new mother in every sense of the word, while relieving the aches and pains of pregnancy. I have since taught HUNDREDS of women during their pregnancies and wiithout fail, I receive incredible feedback as to the positive transformation that occurred in their bodies and minds while attending the Prenatal Yoga class series. In 2009 I created a Prenatal Naam Yoga DVD which has sold worldwide.SpecialtiesNaam Yoga is a deep spiritual practice that also includes a killer work-out. Meditation and mantra are always a part of class. Beginner-friendly. Benefits are felt after only one class! Prenatal Yoga classes focus on relieving pregnancy ailments and increase the deep spiritual bond between mother and baby. This class also focuses on dispelling any fear and anxiety surrounding childbirth and the transition to motherhood. Beginner-friendly.
