History
For anyone who grew up during the days when Bo and Luke Duke spent one night a week in our living rooms trying to outrun the law in the General Lee, there's one attraction in Pigeon Forge that's just the ticket for all you fans of The Dukes of Hazzard. And it's got your name written all over it. Actually, it's got Cooter's name written all over it, because it's called Cooter's Place, named after the show's ace mechanic, Cooter Davenport. Owned by Ben Jones, the actor who played Cooter on The Dukes of Hazzard, this museum and store is a must-see for anyone who remembers the popular TV show of the 1970s and 1980s. You'll want to be sure to tour the museum, where you'll find all kinds of Dukes of Hazzard memorabilia, including original costumes and props from the show as well as collectibles and the General Lee car itself. During your tour, you can even have your photo taken with the orange zero-one. Inside the general store, you'll find all kinds of merchandise
