Columbia State Community College, founded in 1966, provides academic, student and administrative services to promote achievement of educational, professional and personal goals. The college offers more than 50 programs that include degrees and certificate programs in business and technology, developmental studies, health sciences, humanities, science and mathematics, social sciences, education and developmental studies and physical education. It also provides various sports activities that include men s and women s basketball, baseball and softball. The college also has a library, Finney Memorial Library, which offers a wide range of resource materials and the library catalog is available online as well. The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accredits Columbia State Community College. The college serves more than 10,000 students every year by offering credit and continuing education courses and awards more than $10 million in financial aid. It has campuses in Columbia, Clifton, Lewisburg, Lawrenceburg and Franklin, Tenn.
