HistoryJo Kilmer started her rustic career after moving to Missouri in 1997. She only worked in willow and became known as The Willow Woman to many rustic furniture makers across the country. In 2005 Jo relocated to Murphy N.C where there is not an abundance of willow. Over time she has learned the many characters of the trees that grow in the mountains of North Carolina and is now building beautiful rustic works of art from the native trees that surrounds her.SpecialtiesSpirit Tall is a custom twig and branch furniture making business that has been in the Murphy area since 2005. Nature artist Jo Kilmer has designed a wide variety of one-of-a-kind furniture creations, including garden arbors, tables, chairs, benches, baskets, shelves, decorative bark owls, jewelry, and more. With her quality craftsmanship and high spirit, Jo is constantly in high demand for commission work.
