Smyrna High School
Smyrna High School, founded in 1911, is a secondary school serving the educational needs of students in grades nine through 12. It has an enrollment of more than 1,500 students and is part of the Rutherford County School District. The high school provides classes in various subjects, including fine arts, business, English, foreign languages, history, math, physical education and science. It also provides special education to students with special needs. The school s media center offers a wide variety of resources to facilitate research and promote the education of students beyond the classroom. Its library has a collection of more than 1,500 books and subscribes to over 25 magazines and journals. It has athletic teams in football, bowling, swimming and wrestling. The school offers a variety of clubs that enhance the educational experience of students, such as drama, band, beta, creative writing, historical society and the National Honor Society.
