Healdsburg Transfer Station is one of five trash disposal sites run by the Sonoma County Waste Management Agency. The site accepts both refuse and recycling of general waste and garbage, appliances, electronics, mattresses, tires, wood waste and yard debris. Fees are varied and depend on the type of refuse or recycling item. Some recycling is free. General refuse is charged at $108 per ton or $17 per cubic yard, or by the vehicle load. Items deposited as refuse are transfered to the Sonoma County Landfill in Santa Rosa.
