Brookings Wesleyan Church was born in 1950 when two families had a dream for a Wesleyan Church in Brookings. We started out in a small building at the corner of 8th Street and 5th Avenue. We moved to our present location in 1974, and have expanded our facilities several times since then. We are part of Wesleyan Church, an evangelical, Protestant denomination, which is named after our founder, John Wesley. We offer the good news that faith in Jesus Christ makes it possible to have our sins forgiven and to know God in a personal way. For additional info about our history, click here. We are a church that offers the kinds of ministries you would expect from a larger church ; ministries to children, youth, college students and a great music program.
