HistoryFair City Furniture was formed in February. 1963 by Lloyd Venables and Earl Meyers. This company sold furniture and floor coverings at one location until September, 1971. At this time a separate location was secured for a floor covering only store called The Carpet Center. 2 years later Fair City Furniture was dissolved and all attention was focused on the new floor covering store. Gary Venables joined his father Lloyd in the spring of 1973 at The Carpet Center. this business continued to flourish, In the spring of 1980, Bob Cameron joined Gary and Lloyd. A year later, Bob and Gary agreed to purchase the business from Lloyd. Bob and Gary continue to this day with the invaluable help of Lance Bartlett and Cheryl Wurts.SpecialtiesWe specialize in all varieties of floor covering such as carpet, vinyl, ceramic tile, laminate, and hardwood.
