Founded in 1990, The King s Academy is an independently chartered, nondenominational Christian school. It serves more than 300 students in grades kindergarten through 12. The academy has a staff of more than 50 people. The King s Academy runs a fine arts department that includes drama, band, chorus and art groups. The academy also offers an opportunity for the middle school s students to represent The King s Academy in the South Carolina Independent School Association Regional and State events, such as an art show, literary meet, music festival, Spelling Bee, science fair, choral clinic and math meet. The King's Academy follows the state of South Carolina's Uniform Grading System. It is located in Florence, S.C.
