Founded in 2001, Waccamaw Middle School educates students in grades six through eight. Its educational programs include various subjects, such as foreign language, social studies, science, math, art, physical education and technology. The school also offers various sports activities, such as volleyball, baseball, cheerleading, soccer, tennis, track and basketball. Additionally, the school maintains a media center that provides a variety of books, magazines and online resources. Located in Pawleys Island, S.C., the school publishes a monthly newsletter that features meal menus, student achievements and campus activities. The school also offers food services and conducts fundraising events. Waccamaw Middle School is governed by the Georgetown County School District.
