Stanley O. Skarli, MD, is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Prisma Health in Columbia, South Carolina. He received his medical degree from Oral Roberts University School of Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and completed his residency at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Primary Children’s Medical Center, University of Utah, in Salt Lake City. Dr. Skarli is board certified in both neurological surgery and pediatric neurological surgery. In addition to practicing for more than 25 years, he has served as a clinical assistant professor with Michigan State University and the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine-Tulsa, as well as the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia. His interests include neuroendoscopy, spinal instrumentation, endoscopic craniosynostosis surgery, craniovertebral junction anomalies and selective dorsal rhizotomy for patients with cerebral palsy.
