The Seneca Fire Department provides fire prevention and emergency medical services to the residents of Seneca, S.C. It operates a communication and dispatch center that coordinates responses to various emergency and nonemergency calls for service. The department provides various public safety education programs that assist in the reduction of deaths, injuries and property loss from fire and associated hazards. The Seneca Fire Department operates more than five fire stations and is comprised of over 25 trained and volunteer firefighters. It also provides various training programs in administrative procedures, auto extrication, fire protection system, hazardous materials, and ice and water rescue strategies and tactics. The department additionally conducts prefire surveys for various commercial businesses and facilities.
