Newberry High School is an educational institution that serves more than 800 students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes reading, English, math, Spanish, French, science, social studies, music, Spanish, French, and health and physical education. The school maintains, special services, guidance, agriculture and custodian departments. Newberry High School offers opportunities for students to participate in a range of athletic activities, including football, wrestling, swimming, golf, tennis, soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, cross-country, and track and field. It additionally operates a school improvement council that consists of community members, such as parents, students, teachers, administrators and business leaders who focus on improving student achievement. Lawrenceville High School is a part of the School District of Newberry County, which governs various elementary, middle and high schools.
