Newberry County Disabilities & Special Needs Board offers a range of services for people with disabilities. The board serves and supports more than 200 persons and their families through its over 160 full- and part-time staff. It offers early intervention programs for children. Early interventionists provide various community-based services to help children with disabilities. The institution, located in Newberry, S.C., also provides residential programs, such as the community training home program and the supervised living program. Additionally, it operates an intermediate care facility. It also offers individual rehabilitation programs, including supports to promote independence and enhance participation in community activities. The board offers respite care on an hourly and daily basis.
