Run by the Charleston County Aviation Authority, the Mount Pleasant Regional Airport at Faison Field provides general aviation services to Mount Pleasant and the greater Charleston area.
Roughly 50 single-engine aircraft are housed at the facility. The single-runway airport mostly services local general aviation flights. Data shows that with about 80 flights per day, 65 percent are local general aviation, 31 percent are transient general aviation and a small number are air taxi and military flights.
Charleston Executive Airport, also operated by the Aviation Authority, is designed for larger aircraft.
