Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College

Established in 1968, Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College is a two-year technical college providing training to persons for jobs in various industries, upgradation programs for workers and university transfer opportunities. The college is approved by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It provides various associate degrees, certificates and diploma programs in a wide range of subjects, including business, computers, information technology, health sciences, nursing, industrial technology, and public and human services. It offers associate degrees in arts, science and business in various subjects, such as paralegal studies, criminal justice, accounting, engineering, radiology and occupational technology. Additionally, it offers diploma programs in automated office technology, medical office assistance, early childhood development and practical nursing. The certificate programs offered by the college include basic diesel maintenance, computer-aided designing, phlebotomy, welding and pre-occupational therapy assistant. It has libraries with Internet access and media center, and also offers various career counseling services. Located in Orangeburg, S.C., the college also offers various financial options.
