Led by Chief Terrence Green, the Lexington Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that serves the residents of the Town of Lexington. The department is one of a handful statewide to be accredited by both the international Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies and the South Carolina Police Accreditation Coalition. The department, which is headquartered in Lexington's Town Hall, consists of 53 personnel, including 47 sworn officers, 2 sworn reserve officers and 4 administrative staff.
