The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is a full-service law enforcement agency. Its school resource officers work to build good relationships with children, parents and teachers. The agency s investigative division apprehends offenders, recovers stolen properties and seizes illegal drugs. Located in St. George, S.C., the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office has a court security unit that is responsible for providing security services at courts. The agency also operates a homicide unit that specializes in community policing and undercover operations.
