Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina is a nonprofit organization that serves girls and adults in more than 15 counties in South Carolina. It offers Daisy, Brownie, Junior, and Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts programs. Additionally, the organization provides Leader in Training and Bridging the Gap programs. It also offers various summer camps that include a variety of activities, such as rock climbing, archery, swimming, cooking, horseback riding and canoeing. Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina also operates a training center that organizes weekend events and resident and adventure camps. It also offers programs related to communication and social skills development, money management and financial literacy. The organization operates online shops that provide uniforms, sashes, vests, books and other supplies. It is funded by the United Way. The organization maintains its presence in North Charles, S.C.
