L.E. Gable Middle School, named after a former Spartanburg School District 6 educator and administrator, is located in a rural community in Roebuck, in the Piedmont region of South Carolina. The school is designed with three wings that house the sixth, seventh and eighth grades, a total body of more than 750 students. Founded in 1981, it is located on more than 50-acres acres of land that includes a nature trail and space for outdoor activities, as well as tennis courts, track and stadium facilities. It provides a comprehensive educational program, including core subjects, such as mathematics, English, social studies and science. L.E. Gable Middle School provides students with various options for extracurricular activities, such as its yearbook, newspaper, band and sports, such as basketball, volleyball and football, softball, swimming and tennis.
