Dorchester Alcohol and Drug Commission provides support for addiction and mental health disorders. This includes prevention, intervention and treatment support. The commission’s clinical counselors are licensed counselors, psychologists, human services and specialize in substance abuse as well as emotional and behavioral problems. The commission is HIPA compliant and offers intensive outpatient care. This includes women’s programs, continuing care, substance abuse programs, adult risk reduction, motivational recovery, counseling services, individual and relationship counseling, child and family counseling, anger management, adolescent services and intensive family services. Additionally, it offers court-related services such as alcohol and drug safety action programs, pre-trial intervention, offender-based intervention, alcohol education programs and other prevention services. The commission is led by chairman of the board Suzie Davis.
