First Baptist Church School was established in 1953 as a mission of First Baptist Church, which was chartered in 1917 with 22 members. In 1964, the congregation moved from the original Pitt Street location to its present site on McCants Drive. At this time, the school began the addition of one grade each year until it reached the present compliment through the twelfth grade. Today, as a full ministry of the church, it shares a beautiful 15 acre locale conveniently located in the heart of the Old Village amongst serene surroundings, which defines the ambiance of Old Mt. Pleasant.
