The foundations of R.L. Bryan were laid in 1844 when an enterprising young man named Richard Latham Bryan arrived in Columbia, S.C., to work in a stationery store. He later bought out the relative-owner and, eventually, purchased a printing press to add a new line of business to the enterprise. The company grew and prospered, expanding and diversifying with technology. R.L. Bryan s printing customers range from individuals to small businesses to large conglomerates. Customers represent a full range of professions, enterprises and industries, including numerous institutions of higher learning and health care organizations. The printing company's locations include Columbia, S.C.
