Aundrea E. Loftley, M.D. is an assistant professor of medicine and endocrinology in the Department of Internal Medicine, division of endocrinology, diabetes, and medical genetics at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She has experience practicing in both community and academic environments.In addition to providing care for patients, Dr. Loftley is committed to medical education and serves as a Master Clinical Skills Teacher for the College of Medicine. Her research interest is in health disparities related to diabetes. Dr. Loftley looks forward to providing care for patients with endocrine disorders, and has a special interest in treating diabetes, thyroid and parathyroid disorders. Dr. Loftley completed her medical school training, internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship at MUSC. In 2015, after completing her fellowship in endocrinology, she established the first outpatient endocrinology practice for McLeod Physician Associates at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina. In 2018, she was awarded the Professional Research Consultants Excellence in Healthcare Top Performer Award for scoring at or above the 100% percentile for patient satisfaction. Dr. Loftley is board certified in both internal medicine and endocrinology.
