HistoryClark Electric Service was founded by W. T. Clark. W.T. got his initial training in the US Navy in Electrical and Electronics. In the Navy he worked on the shipboard Fire Control radar and computers. Later while working in the industrial sector as an electrician troubleshooting machine controls, he enrolled in Spartanburg Technical College and took several courses to further his electrical education. He would work in the industrial electrical field for some 15 years after his Navy tour.
