Arkansas Sheriffs' Youth Ranch is a nonprofit organization and licensed child-care facility serving the state of Arkansas. Its ranch's program serves the abused, neglected and abandoned children who have been the victims of physical, emotional and sexual abuse. The organization maintains a team of board of directors, management personnel, administrative and support staff, house parents and volunteers. Arkansas Sheriffs' Youth Ranch provides residential child care, outreach, speaker s bureau, community education and child abuse awareness programs. It also offers CASA and STAR programs. The organization provides structured activities, such as household chores, horseback riding, camping, vacations, picnics, scouting and summer sports programs. Established in 1976, Arkansas Sheriffs' Youth Ranch is located in Batesville, Ark.
