Founded in 1970 by military families stationed at Quonset Point, the North Kingstown United Methodist Church strives to be more than just a place people come to on a Sunday morning. It is a site of the North Kingstown Food Pantry, seeing community members drop off food daily. Additionally, it is a host site for Angel Food Ministries. Outside of its own community, the church supports efforts across the globe, aiding in relief efforts in Sierra Leone, as well as raising more than $10,000 for famine relief through its youth groups.
