The historic United Congregational Church traces its roots back to a gathering of Boston Puritans in 1695, and prides itself on remaining active in the present with an eye toward the future. The congregation's ministry and mission serves Aquidneck Island and the surrounding communities and strives to adapt to meet the changing needs of its community.
Reverend R. Joseph Tripp, Jr. serves as pastor and teacher. A native of Central New York and graduate of Hobart College and Andover Newton Theological School, he began his ministry with the Congregational Church in July of 2000. Reverend Tripp previously served churches in Fall River, Massachusetts and Falls Village, Connecticut.
Services and activities include Sunday worship, church school, ministry, missions, choir and more. Additionally, a supervised nursery is available in the Learning Center for Sunday worhip.
