Specialties
*4 hours intensive work each session. *For Private Classes: I teach many of the techniques listed below in pure form, unsynthesized. I offer lecturing and in certain blocks of classes, pre-typed out lecture notes. I also offer one of the most detailed versions of script analysis charting. A syllabus for each Technique/Style we'll be focusing on, recommended reading, and homework. *A mixture of exercises, scenes (pre-picked or actor chosen), and monologues are utilized. Coaching can be tailored towards the style of the director of the film/play they're in or the style of the casting director auditioning them. *A special 20 min. vocal and physical warmup. Sometimes a mental warm up for relaxation and characterization. *Personal evaluations to target weak spots, possible emotional blocks, and physical blocks (injury, tension, etc) within the actor to understand their physical and psychological make up. *My sessions are scheduled around actors. I also am able to be reached on 24 hours notice (sometimes less)- if there is an emergency coaching session needed for a production/audition. Techniques I am well versed in: *Stanislavsky (and the offshoots- Boleslavsky, Meisner, Adler, Strasberg, Chekhov, Hagen, Chubbuck) *Other Methods (physical based)- Lecoq, Suzuki, Alexander, Viewpoints, Laban some Commedia dell'arte *Improvisation (Spolin focus), *Also (lesser known but equally important)- Morris, Guskin, Weston, Boal. And some vocal techniques.
