C&J Jewelry is a jewelry manufacturing company that produces custom men s and women s jewelry products in 10 karat, 14 karat and 18 karat gold. It has the capability to produce jewelry in a variety of colors. It also uses fine silver, sterling silver, brass, bronze and white metal in mass volume and small runs. C&J grew out of the precious metal divisions of two jewelry manufacturing companies: Anson and Imperial Pearl. C&J s two principle shareholders, Jake Jacobsen and Bill Considine, purchased these two long-established jewelry manufacturers in 1993 and 1995, respectively. The group was later expanded with the addition of two other companies: Romac and Crest Craft of Rhode Island. The company employs more than 200 craftspeople. C&J Jewelry is located in Providence, R.I., in a purpose-built industrial unit of 157,600 square feet.
