The Bristol Housing Authority exists to develop and maintain decent, safe and clean housing to address the social and economic needs of the town's residents. Affordable housing is Bristol for the people of Bristol who need it is their focus.
Affordable housing is available for individuals who generally earn less than 80 percent of the area's mean income. There is also subsidized housing in which the Government finances part of all of the expenses. Section 8 is a Housing and Urban Development program that provides assistance to qualified renters. Bristol Housing Authority works to help the people of Bristol obtain free, low income and senior housing to those in need.
