Barrington Yacht Club, started in 1908, is one of the oldest clubhouses in the United States. BYC offers yacht racing program on the Narragansett Bay, R.I., for sailors and boats of all classes, year-round social activities, and four club cruises to various New England ports. The club also offers junior yacht club activities and sail training programs, and features a marina, swimming pool, Dana Rice building and snack bar. Additionally, it provides introductory program for children up to 7-years, including beginners, intermediate, advanced and racing programs. Located in Barrington, R.I., BYC organizes various races, such as the Tuesday Night Cox Memorial Series, Pret Gladding and Bud Humphrey, Walter Seymour, Senior Circuit, Two Person Race, and Ole Ladies Cup races. The club also organizes recreational cruising, super bowl and blizzard brunch, haul-out and holiday parties for children and adults.
